What is artificial intelligence? Does it impact you and your work?

On the 31st of March 2022, we hosted a roundtable discussion surrounding what Artificial Intelligence is and how it can be understood and used within the field of law making and law enforcement. The session was moderated by Zsolt Ződi, a senior research fellow at the University of Public Service in Hungary and was joined by three professionals who each gave a brief presentation about their take on AI in Law and helped answer any questions from the audience.

The first speaker was Mr. Andrew Dolan, who is the Director of the AI Forum Hungary/ The Centre for the Study of New Security Challenges based in Edinburgh, UK. Our second guest speaker was Hon. Richard Stearns, who joins us from the United States and is a practicing District Judge in the State of Massachusetts. Our third and final guest also joins us from the United States, Mr. Richard Hoskins who is a retired Special Agent from the FBI who gave us his insight into the world of AI used within Law Enforcement.
