AI FORUM HUNGARY AI SAFETY AND RISK MITIGATION:  A GLOBAL CHALLENGE

7th ANNUAL CONFERENCEOVERVIEW

We are delighted to announce this year’s AI FORUM HUNGARY ANNUAL CONFERENCE which will take place virtually on 12th December 2023 15:00-18:00 CET/Budapest

The theme of this, the 7th Annual Conference, will be AI SAFETY AND RISK MITIGATION, which will provide participants with an opportunity to reflect on the recent AI Safety summit at Bletchley Park in the United Kingdom and in particular the context in which AI Safety can become a major consideration in the development of new AI models.

The conference will open with a short analysis of the range of risks associated with the latest developments in AI, much of it arising from the concerns raised over the future of large language models such as ChatGPT and the seeming vulnerability of life sciences and bioengineering to actors with malicious intent.

Moving on, the conference will focus on two insightful presentations – one presentation will offer an overview of military AI, whilst another will explore the striking dual-use potential of a phenomenal research and analysis tool.

With this duality of purpose in mind, a key presentation will address a range of concerns linked to synthetic media, misinformation and policing.  It is hoped to highlight the difficulties in policing some aspects of social media, ranging from fake news to behavioural influences linked to the latest AI-enabled media and communications software.

From here, the conference will explore the regulatory framework for such new AI developments and initiate a debate with a presentation on how best to introduce new concepts of technological safety, ranging from AI guardrails and Black Boxes to kill switches and ethics and another presentation on the future of regulation and its impact on the US, EU and Chinese AI development and models.

The conference will conclude with a reflection on the missing dimension of AI development – the philosophy of AI and the future of humanity.  Reflecting on the current thinking on aspects of AI such as human augmentation, human-robotic interfaces and the consequences of super machine intelligence on humanity’s development, the conference will reflect on a key philosophical question – what is the ultimate purpose of AI?

We sincerely hope that you will join us as we engage in socially important questions inspired by recent developments in AI.  Our Team of Forum friends and experts continues to grow as does our knowledge of the significant range of topics.
