In April 2019, the AI Forum Hungary facilitated a morning briefing programm for key staff of the Hungarian National Bank at their headquarters in Budapest.

The bank staff comprised three main types of specialist:  senior management staff, legal advisors and AI system designers.

The AI Forum Director provided an overview on AI, including definitions, development, critical functions and utilization within commerce and critical network infrastructure and concluded by examining a range of risks and challenges likely to be posed by AI in the future.  The second segment of the briefings was provided by a leading US Federal Judge who provided an overview of how AI was impacting the banking and regulation sectors in the USA and Europe and addressed a number of key legal challenges likely to emerge as banking and financial houses rely more in the future on algorithms for decision making and compliance.
