Csaba Kollár communications engineer; certified communication expert; Doctor of Economic Sciences (PhD); consultant; coach and mediator. His research area is the social dimensions and economic impacts of digital age, especially the human aspects of information security and the development of information security awareness. Lecturer at Szent Istvan University, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Department of Management Sciences and at the National University of Public Service, Doctoral School of Military Engineering; registered mediator of the Ministry of Justice; chair of national professional examination board; leading consultant, mediator and coach at PREMA Consulting, expert at the Hungarian Military Sciences Society. Now he is gaining his knowledge at Óbuda University Doctoral School on Safety and Security Sciences.
In terms of qualification Csaba Kollár is a communications engineer, certified communication expert, employment rehabilitation, human and engineering consultant and specialized engineer. He defended his doctoral thesis in economic sciences with summa cum laude qualification in 2007. The topic of thesis was the relation between consumer group culture and info-communication society. Currently he studies at the information security and cyber protection executive postgraduate course of the National University of Public Service and at the Doctoral School on Safety and Security Sciences at Óbuda University.
He has worked as a science publicist and journalist for more than twenty years and written a number of books, book chapters, studies, articles and research reports. He was the columnist of prim.hu for several years where he dealt with digital age and especially the mobile trends. His science publicist activities have been recognized by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian Marketing Society with the 3rd place in the Marketing Paper of the Year competition.
He has been involved in research projects on the application of online and offline, qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. His research work has focused – among other topics – on the changes in museum visits in the digital age; complex therapy of treating burnout syndrome; corporate health policies; media terror; consumer group culture in the info-communication society; information security threats in digital workplaces; online consultation; human-robot interaction; corporate information security; development of information security awareness; possibilities of atypical employment; commitment of executives towards information security and the extended reality. His research results have been regularly published at national and international professional-scientific conferences.
He has led training programmes since 1994; worked as a consultant since 1999; as a coach since 2014 and as the registered mediator of the Ministry of Justice since 2016. Several professional organisations (Hungarian Marketing Society, Vocational and Adult Education Directorate of the National Labour Office, Equal Opportunity for Disabled People Non-Profit Ltd) have employed him as qualified expert.
He has been working as a lecturer in higher education since 2003 at the following institutions: National University of Public Service – Doctoral School of Military Engineering; Szent István University – Department of Management Sciences; University of West Hungary – Institute of Management, Leadership and Marketing, and Budapest Metropolitan University. More than a hundred students have prepared their diploma works, dissertations or research papers for Scientific Students’ Conferences under his supervision. Many of these students continue their career in scientific professions.
From late 2017 he will be participating in the Zrínyi Miklós Habilitation Program in the frames of the Scientific Excellence Programs of the National University of Public Service, thus the next station of his scientific career will be the habilitation procedure started in the first quarter of 2018.
